Man I am obsessed with this show, but they just keep feeding the hype machine with all the news that's pouring out. Anywho, AMC just put up another blog post that says you can enter to win a walk-on role as a zombie in season 2. So does this mean a second season is pretty much a done deal? Reading the fine print, here's the details of the prize:

4. Grand Prize and Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): “Grand Prize” (1): A 4-Day/3-Night trip, for the Grand Prize winner only, to the location of The Walking Dead Season 2 production/filming, (note: Season 1 production/filming took place in Atlanta, GA, but the location has not yet been determined for Season 2), plus the opportunity for the Grand Prize winner to have a single walk-on role in a Season 2 episode of The Walking Dead (exact specifics of the walk-on role will be determined at Producer’s sole discretion). Grand Prize package consists of (a) round-trip coach class air transportation for the Grand Prize winner from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest to winner’s home (as determined by Sponsor), to a major U.S. gateway airport nearest determined production/filming location (as determined by Sponsor); (b) three (3) nights double occupancy standard hotel accommodations at a hotel of Sponsor’s selection; (c) food and ground transportation allowance of four hundred ($400) dollars during the Grand Prize trip; and (d) a copy of the Grand Prize winner’s taped walk-on role segment. ARV of the Grand Prize is two thousand ($2,000) dollars.

Wow!! So they are already planing season 2!! That is awesome! AMC is  really backing this show up.  My wife and I already signed up. I doubt I will will but who knows.

The best thing about all this is they're already talking about season two and darabount (SP?) is saying he would love to do zombies for twenty years.  unrealistic, I know but wouldn't that be awesome?  I still hope the comic makes it to issue 301, at least.

I just heard about it and of course the actors are excited everyone wants this show to do well!!!!!

you guys don't read aintitcool??  Season 2 was announced as a done deal via AMC like a month ago.  They said they would find the prison at the end of S2, and if each season is 6 episodes, they are matching issue for episode!!! Shibby!

oh, and i'm sooooo entering this.  I was rejected from the first season.  sent in my information, they asked for a headshot, and i sent it in.  Asked like a month later if they got it to the reply of:"Yeah, we got it".  I guess i'm too ugly to play a member of the dead/undead...  damn.
