Who do you think is going to die next? And explain why you think so. Going by instinct and looking at the covers for the next few issues, I have this gut feeling that Glenn's time is up. I mean, he's the most experienced when it comes to being a supply-runner..but he can't keep doing it unscathed much longer. During his weapons run with Rick in the very beginning, he got very lucky not biting the Big One. Glenn, please stay alive, but I would not be surprised if he didn't make it to issue #79. And also, I think Scott will die by issue #77 at the latest and he's on his way. Heath and Glenn are going to be held up somehow, and their supplies won't make it to him in time. We almost need a miracle for Scott to recover on his own. Your thoughts?

I'm afraid you're right. Glenn is one of my favorite characters but his farewweell to Maggie didn't sit well with me. I hope he goes out like a soldier.

I think kirkamn wants us to think glenn, but really thats almost like killing rick, I think 3 people have a get out of jail free card in this book and that would be rick, carl, michone, and glenn. Everyone else is open game and yeah scotts toast!

I don't think glenn has a get out of jail free card....back before tyresse was killed if you had asked me I would have thought no way that kirkman would kill him off....and even lori and the baby thought the same thing....i think glenn is going to become an asian dish for the zombies!!!!

I usually fall for Kirkmans misdirection. I normally don't see the next "dead" coming. I think Siekone is right when he said Kirkman wants us to think Glenn, and I am falling right into it again.

I too agree with Siekone and Red on this one. We are going to believe Glenn will die, but he'll pull through. I think there are six safe characters for the time being, Rick, Glenn, Michonne, Sophia, Carl, and Andrea. I do believe Scott is toast and I think it'll be in #76. I also believe Gabriel is a goner.

That's one of the things I love about TWD...is that there is no real way to predict a death 100% so i'm always on my toes. Has Gabriel realized yet that bibles don't make a good shield or a melee weapon? He sort of reminds me of Herschel, who used to believe in his faith (and a cure), which kept him strong for awhile but eventually let him down. Gabe is just asking for it. And I hope one the Community kids don't throw that football over a fence, climb over to get it, then get the Big One. Kids can be curious and naive. Anyway, I'm gonna stick with my prediction on Glenn. And if he's gone, might as well count out Maggie as well. She took her own life (albeit unsuccesfully) WITH Glenn alive, what more with him gone? Unless, she's recovered enough from losing her entire family, but I doubt she has. Then Heath would be the main supply runner.

I think Andrea is safe for the time simply because laurie Hutton is such a hot actress and who'd want to kill that. I still think Glennis going to get it but i never would have guessed lori, the baby, or Tyreese would bite the proverbial bullet either. Michonne has to die sometime if Charlie can be talked into it. She's just so... super human. I hope Eugene and Rosita make it for another year or so. Not to mention, my main man, Abe.

I don't think Glenn will bite it anytime soon just because the TV show is still fresh to new fans. Kirkman might be persuaded to keep him, Andrea, Carl, and Rick alive longer because new fans will be joining up after watching the show and they will want something familiar.
I know that Shane, Lori, Dale, Carol, Amy and the rest died already. However, that was before the show took flight. He might not want to ice some of the popular characters for the time being. Glenn, Rick, and Andrea have always been involved in most of the essential storylines since the beginning. I've called them "the big three" since volume two.
Now if Kirkman were to clean house at the end of this story arc) like he did with #48 (which would cool because it would end with #78), there are characters I could see him killing - Eugene, Scott, Heath, Gabriel, Maggie, Douglas, and Abe.
Eugene - The dude hasn't been written in more than one panel since #67. He's become the Billy (Hershel’s son) of The Walking Dead. Every once in awhile Kirkman will toss him a bone and he'll actually have dialog in a panel, but for the most part it feels like Kirkman is just waiting for the next big Kaboom issue and drop him. Just like Billy, the second he's in multiple issue, know he's dead soon.
Scott - Though we know nothing of my name sake (That’s right my names Scott!) I feel that he’s a goner in the next issue and he'll be put down by Rick because everyone else won’t know what to do.
Heath - The dude has been cool, but at the same time someone is going to have to die between Glenn and him and my money's on him
Gabriel/Douglas - These two characters slip back and forth from Douche bags to ok dudes. Douglas seems like the big roadblock in Rick and Co's storyline, but we haven't seen what's going on behind the scenes yet. There's just something about him that makes you think he'll be the governor all over again (without the rape maybe?). Gabriel, we'll he dug his own grave last issue.
Maggie - I honestly feel what the big secret that Douglas is hiding is that Pete or one of the other male doctors maybe a rapist or even a sociopath, but he's keep the dudes evil tendencies hidden because he's a doctor. I think Davidson found this out and the higher ups in the community killed him to keep Pete alive. Maybe Douglas keeps the attractive women near him to protect them in some form? If he has an eye on them then maybe the Doctor rapist won’t strike. What does this have to do with Maggie? I think Maggie is his next target in #77 and Andrea in #78. I thought of this the other day when I realized that Maggie and Andrea are on a cover in a row. And each cover has a man that we don’t recognize or sort of recognize from the community on it. Andrea is stronger than Maggie though. Sorry Mag's
Abe - I would really hate to see Abe go out, but he's the white Tyrese. We all love him, he's badass, we think he's absolutely safe, and he and Rick are close friends. Everyone who’s been Ricks close friend though has bitten a bullet (or sword blade) over the years - Shane, Allen, Tyrese and Dale. Abe would be the shocker out of it all; I'm going to say he's my wild card. He'll go out a hero. If I was Rick I'd give Rosita a lot of shoulders to cry on though.

I'd hate to see Glenn go, but things aren't looking good. But I don't think he'll go in #78. He'll survive at least until 79 since he's on the cover (I think that's him).
I hop ehe survives forever, though, but the chances of that happening get slimmer with every issue.
I do agree that Kirkman has a habit of going one way and then veering the opposite, though. He might want us to think Glenn is going to die by not making it obvious so we don't think we're seeing it come from a mile away and then making ti so that...
... he doesn't die.
Who knows? I think the people most safe right now--and maybe for getting out of the "safe" zone alive--are Rick, Carl, and Michonne.

I don't want Abe to die. which means he will probably die. I hope he does it in a burst of glory and/or sacrifice.

I agree that deaths involving the ones we're most familiar with are most effective. Especially when they're abrupt and swift. I remember reading an interview with Kirkman stating along the lines of how he tries to avoid expositional, overdramatic deaths. He reminds us that they are mortal, that we drop like flies, die like dogs. I think that some of the next deaths coming will involve the ones who are beginning to, like Moogley stated, "seem like super human" and some of the ones we've gotten closest to. To remind us fans that "NO ONE is safe" as opposed to "No one is safe except a few exceptions." I was bummed for days after key characters died, but to pamper certain characters is doing the opposite of what Kirkman has been trying to establish. To take them away gives more room and oppurtunity for us fans to get to really know the new characters effectively. I prefer an even playing field, but we're at bit of a dilemma. I am also a fan of big groups of characters, but I hope the TV show hasn't softened Kirkman's heart too much on the remaining original Atlanta survivors. And I hope he sticks to his original comic scripts before the TV show began, as much as possible. Don't get it wrong. i REALLY WANT Rick and Co to survive, but not through supernatural means. I want the story to stay believable. I don't want TWD to turn into a superhero comic, even though I know Kirkman is too smart to let that happen.

I seriously hope Scott isn't dead yet. While it's probably inevitable, I think it would be squandering a potentially interesting character. On that note I hope Guard #2 aka Mr. Mohawk survives for a while, I think the only thing we've heard from that guy has been brakka! brakka! brakka!

Ha! Those are my favorite lines! I also want neighbor #8 to survive as well. There's more going to her then walking her dog. . .Oh My God! Maybe Davidson was a dog! All those graves were pets!
