I know it was announced at the sdcc as to just who woul dbe scoring the show.  The name escapes me but I know its the guy from BSG which I think is terrific.  I can't think og anybody better other than mark Snow - but that's just because I love the X-Files.  This guy really was my second choice and he says he's going to be scoring it like a drama not like a horror movie.  I'm very excited.  The music, in my opinion, was the best thing in a stelllar show such as bsg,  I can't wait.  I think the majority of my questions have been answered for the next few minutes but work is still a ways offf,,, so who knows?

This guy is my second choice though andd a close second he is.   I was worried in which direction they were going to take the score.  I feel nothing but relief.  Emotional scenes abound,

I feel exactly the same. A show/movie's musical score is a BIG deal for me...if it's an excellent movie or show, chances are I own its soundtrack, because music totally makes the show.

Bear did such a good job with Terminator (I never saw Battlestar Galactica, but my dad owns the dvds, I should watch) I am sooooooo damn excited to hear his scoring again :D

I, to, buy the music to a movie or tv show i enjoy.  I got a few mark snow albums.  It adds to the dramatic intensity and can make a sad scene all the more sad.

You should check out bsg.  Its great and nothing like the 1978 cliche ridden piece of drek that was the television show of  our youth.  Talk about maincharacters dying when you least expect it and great characters, at that.  accompanied by killer music.  and its all about the end of the worlds in like thirty minutes without being cheesy, you really feel about these people.  Third fave show after x-files and what i'm sure to be walking Dead.

i was surfing the net--its five in the morning- and came across the scores for various episodes of bsg, if you don't want to watch the episodes... just youtube battlestar galactica score and that should give you a lot of sample material.
