I used to buy tons of comics now i'm buying less than I ever have:

walking dead

invincible

savage dragon

gi joe

transfomers

i, zombie

the rest are trades -- a great deal of them are essentials such as ghost rider and tomb of dracula

i also buy a fair amount of current trades such as

fables

etc.

walking dead is my favorite followed by invincible and savage dragon which are tied

Chew

Haunt

Spawn..when they release a damn issue...

locke & key

some comic book about the dead walking...

truthfully, a bit scared to get anything new these days. most books worth reading are a good amount into the story line to go back and collect the floppies. tpb are cool but if i'm buying current issues i don't want the trades, i'd much rather the issues. i stick to what i've collected fromt eh begininng.

Also, I finished off Y: the Last Man this week. Can't say enough about how good that series was.

you're local comic shop should be able to order you the tomb of dracula trades.  they're also releasing something called vampire tales, i believe.  werewolf by night is really good, as well.

i haven't decided on guardians of the globe yet or if i'll just wait for trade.  and while my real collection of invincible is in hardcover i pretty much give in a nd buy each new issue... when they come out.  i think the only kirkman book that didn't do it for me was haunt.  i kept trying but it never grabbed me.  i think the fact that it felt sooo much like a mcfarlane book had something to do with it.  not the biggest mcfarlane fan unless he gives in and makes us some killer wd toys.  back to tomb of dracula, you can order them off amazon.com.  that's where i got mine used and cheap.  i love the seventies marvel horror stuff.

Currently Reading:

The Walking Dead

Zatanna - An excellent and fresh story in the DC Universe. It's nice to see one of my favorite JLA members finally getting her own story

Invincible - Kirkman nuff said

I, Zombie - Very interesting read

Nancy in Hell - First issue just came out and I find it intriguing. Give it a shot

Whatever Happened to Barron Von Shock? - Fresh from Rob Zombie nuff said

Superman - First comic I ever read and I still love it

Batman Confidential

Turf

Dead @ 17

Blackest Night and soon the Brightest Day

Dust Wars - Cool twist on American History

Recommended reading to get a newbie into comics

The Watchmen - The god of all Graphic novels. If you don't instantly love this novel then you wont like comics.

Y: The Last Man - Very cool post apocalyptic

Batman: Arkham Asylum - messes with your mind

Identity Crisis - This was the graphic novel/comic that changed the DC universe from kid stories to adult themed stories. One of the JLA members wife is murdered and everything goes to hell. Some make questionable morality choices, other's significant others are targeted, and one is raped.

The Killing Joke - A story about The Joker and how he came to be

ExMachina - Post 9/11 Superhero stories

V for Vendetta - Awesome story full of twists

Sandman - Read it in college, it's awesome

Maus - A very dark, emotional, and True story of one mans father's torment in a Nazi concentration camp during World War Two. The Creator interviewed his father before he died about his experience from the beginning of World War 2 in Germany as a Jew. He turned the true story into and animated graphic novel using mice to convey it to us. It's gripping. Five stars and must read for anyone

I'll post more later

As a Hero I used to fight on the side for good. I learned it's boring. Being a villainous hero is much more fun!

Forgot to mention Kick-Ass. It was amazing IMO, and so much better than the shitty movie.

oh, i LOVED deadworld by vince locke when he was drawing the book even though king zombie sported a mullet.  progressive storytelling--something--and please, don't flame me here--wd has fallen short of recently.  the comic continued after vince left and got progressively worse but i still bought all fifty issues.

i also loved rom.:)

When I can afford to these are the titles I follow regularly

The Walking Dead

Invincible

Chew

Bomb Queen

Bleach Manga

Haunt

Anything with Lobo in it!

and sometimes I pick up issues of stuff that looks cool to try out.  Im not a huge fan of the big two but if theres something thats got Lobo in it I gotta have it. I use to follow Marvel Zombies but it started to really suck after a while so I stopped.

I'm not a Marvel fan AT ALL, so I rarely suggest Marvel stuff because I don't know any of their products anymore.  Reason is, I've hated just about every movie they have produced since 2000.  All I can suggest to readers are the things I like which is usually DC, Image, Ape, or other unknown publishers.

Recommended readings (pt 2)

Revolver

Femme Noir - by Ape Comics

Road To Perdition
