What's your favorite and why? Got any stories to share?

I'll start. My faves are RE2 and RE1 remake for the gamecube. RE2 needs to be remade for the PS3 or Wii, man that would look amazing!

I remember the double mirrors in the interrogation room in RE2. After grabbing one of the 4 plugs from the shelf, I jumped out of my seat when a licker bursted through the glass! I did not see that coming at all!

Man, my heart was beating so fast that I was awake for another hour or 2.

Then there's those crimson head zombies from RE1 remake......those things run as fast as you do and bust through doors! No matter how many times I've cleared a hallway, I never feel completely safe, ever. I always expect something to bust through a window or door and get me. Hunters, anyone?

RE2 is my favorite game of all time.  I'll never forget that Licker climbing across the window when you first get in the Police Dept.  4 is amazing as well.

RES4 leon was a bad ass in it. 5 was meh

yeah, 5 was a huge letdown.  made 3 seem great though.

i think dead space is 100 times scarier the RES 5 second one is going to rock.

RE2 was the first game I got on PS1 and I only played it in the middle of the night.  Several parts of the game scared the bejesus out of me, two were already mention.  The licker jumping out of the mirror scared me, but the one that ran by the window made me spend one hour looking for an alternate entrance.  Another part that scared the crap out of me were the damn Ravens!  I walked towards the roof where the helicopter crashed and BAM!  The windows would explode and ravens would be everywhere!

Then there was the grounds keepers shed when you would open the door and three zombies would pile in.  Finally let's not forget the big mother fucker who would chase you (when you play as Claire) through the police department.  Classic

I really like RE0. It was a nice return to old-style RE, it told new story, and the 2 character system worked pretty well. I still enjoy playing Leech Hunter even after unlocking everything. Besides that, I like every old formula RE except Code: Veronica. That game felt like 12 hours down the toilet.
