Follow that link and you'll see a piece done by Moore. It say's 'The Walking Dead' clearly in the title, yet on the art itself, it is signed '2010'. Why would it be called a piece of 'Walking Dead' art, if he stopped doing illustrations years ago? I can see by the feedback that other art by Moore has been sold, but it's pages and covers, not random pieces from 2010. Maybe that's a 'NEWB' thing to say, or maybe he it is just a bit greedy. Thoughts? Either way, it's a pretty cool piece. It'd look brilliant framed - But the person doesn't ship to anywhere outside of the US.

Member Posts: 158 | He is the original creator of the art and character likeness in the series. Even though ge stepped down as illustrator, he still should be able to enjoy the benefits of what he helped start. Kirkman still gives him massive respect and says that Moore is one if the very reasons the comic got off the ground. Why not sketch zombies?

I think it's a little over the top how the listing explains how 'rare' it is, yet it can be personalized for free. I didn't say he should stop sketching zombies, I love his work. In fact, cover 24 is my favourite by far. Just, on a personal level, I don't think that certain piece relates to TWD.

well it is pretty rare, he only did one haha, when you sell shit on ebay you tag stuff that people look for, so the walking dead tony moore is a good way to get views and bidders, he did create the book and has all the right to do put his name on stuff, it doesnt say walking dead anywhere on the peice, its a way to sell

At no point did I say he could or could not do anything... Christ, all I did was share an opinion - so much for a 'friendly' site.

I can see what you mean-its just a random drawing done by Tony Moore. If it had one of the characters in it aswell I could see it being classed as "The Walking Dead".What it should be classed as is "Zombie Sketch by Tony Moore of "The Walking Dead". Tony's stuff always sells for stupid amounts,I emailed him once asking for a commission/prices etc and he never even got back to me! Hey!We are all friendly here!

24 is also one of my favorite covers. Btw, it is a friendly site. He's is just expressing himself. He wasn't being a dick to you or trying to fuck with your topic. Take some posts with a sense of humor.

Sometimes it can be difficult to tell what people mean exactly with typed words, I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks like that? (: And Carl, thank you, that's basically exactly what I meant - I wasn't saying he is greedy for selling art, I absolutely love OA, especially Tony Moore's I apologise for insinuating that the site wasn't friendly, again, it can be a bit hard to tell sarcasm from seriousness when you don't know a person, etc. :]

I don't think Tony's style was right for the comic. Charlie's work, in my opinion, isn't as good at Tony's, but it gives it a sort of gritty, raw feel which I feel fits the story perfectly (:

Agreed Daleeee,Tony's work is far more superior in terms of detail but Charlies is needed for how gritty and depressing the book has grown as of late
