So I was talking to my local comic shop guy yesteraday about issue #83, and his theory for Carl was that he dies, Rick then flips and dies and Michonne takes over as the main protagonist. Personally, I'm not sure it would go down like that, but.... this cover and solicit, kind of makes me wonder if that could be the case?

I totally agree with that.

I've been looking around the net and a lot of people say the same thing. I like the idea myself, Michonne is such a great character and is my favorite one of the group.

i think rick relinquishes leadership to michonne, who can keep a level and sound head on her shoulders.

shes pretty good as a loner but i think as a leader shell have alot more on her and itll break her down, i mean remember the talk she had with morgan last issue bout not really being that tought pretty much

yeah, so far I do kind of think that Michonne becoming the leader of the crew to be a little out of character. She's always been a kind of a loner, and I can't see Glenn or Andrea getting behind her on it after that whole prison thing with her and Tyrese going after the Governor solo like that. I think she'd also have a harder time explaining her decisions, at least not as well as Rick does when he needs to. She's more the "I'm doing this and I don't need to explain it", where Rick seemed to definitely take a more proactive stance in actually convincing people of his thought process in these questionable decisions.

But then again, that could open up a good bit of story lines in her developement into a leader.

Well I guess with the new covers posted we know its not ricks. I has to be Morgans grave. I wounder if she will start tlking to him like she does with her other dead boyfriend. Maybe if they stayy and clean up the safe zone she will come back and visit his grave when she needs someone to talk with.

Why is everyone still assuming that the covers represent exactly what happening in that current issue?  I'd say that there is a ten percent chance she is actually grieving over one grave and it's Margans.  This issue is probably going to be about them as a group saying goodbye to a lot of people.  I think she will be saying goodbye to Morgan, Carl, Douglas, Jesse, Ron, Tobin, and anyone else who dies in the next few issues.  Not just Morgan.

Don't let the issue covers fool you, you will be wrong 90% of the time with your speculation.

Yeah man I know alot of the covers are BS but somtimes they are right on. Look at the no one is safe covers all of them happend. 

Well, they sort of happened.  Douglas didn't die like he was escaping the Shawshank Redemption.  He died like a douche.

Again, they sort of happened.  Everyone thought Andrea was a goner with a bullet to the head.  yeah she got shot, but she didn't die.  However, you are right about the cover of I think #45 with Tyrese and the sword to his neck.

Dude the cover with andrea happend the cover did not show her die it show a bullet hit her head and that happend. rick got shoot in the stomach lori had a gun to her head and Tyrese had a sword at his neck. All of the covers for that arc happend. 

Yes, but everyone thought that she was dead.  My LBC dealer kept telling me and my friends at the time that he heard it was the end of her character.  Everyone speculated much the same way we do on here.  He told me that Rick was a goner.  He was only right about Tyresse and Lori.  Five hundred is good for baseball, but doesnt give me confidence.

This cover, I'm sure something similar happens, but I feel it's sort of a representation of what the group is going to go through.  Just saying.

Yeah man I know what your saying. Part of the fun is guessing what will happen even though we are wrong most of the time.
