So,discuss this fucking awesome issue!

Personally,I thought this was one of the best issues Ive read in a long time.It was especially nerve racking when everyone came out to help Rick and Michonne fight the herd, even Eugene and Gabriel chipped in and helped!

Not much in the way of news about Carl,Denise patched him up abit and it doesnt look good still but Ricks talk to his unconscious son about wanting things to work out for everyone and how they can combat the threats in the world together make me want the lil guy to pull through even more

So... Wow. What a great issue.  I really think Carl may pull through. God- I hope so.  I've got to read this again before I post anymore.

It was awesome that EVERYONE helped out, for once. Even Gabriel. And they fucking won big time. Shows how formidable they can be when they really work together as a team. I think this victory tops the one against the hunters in volume 11.

i thought the issue was pretty cool, like all the zombie kills and how everyone came to pull there weight, it was nice to still see people caring about each other, kinda just cements my hate for rick even more, like after all this time he finally realizes these people love him and are his friends and family, hes such a dick sometimes, anyone else notice the art being weirder in this issue? like a gray tone issues? i dunno it looked different to me

Loved this issue... Has to be my favorite issue since they got to DC.  I really loved how everyone who was left came together to whoop some zombie ass!

And then you'll decide which one you like better.

I didnt like this issue. Toooo easy. Everything just worked great, its not very realistic. Not every zombie that falls down has to be dead. Not every hit on the head has to be "deadly". I really thought some bad shit would happen this issue, but this was just boring somehow. I hope they hit the road soon and some new things happen.

Im just confused, because it seems im the only one thinking this way :/

Well, technically not every zombie on the ground is 'dead'. The crew still has to clean them up and finish them off one by one after the main threat is bypassed. You can only squeeze so much into 22 pages. I understand why you might feel that way though. It was really hard to top #83.

this issue had its highs and lows for me.  some great lines, i loved the different kinds of panels Charlie used, a nice team effort victory.  i didn't like how Carl went from "Massive Headwound Harry" to just a hole in his eye.  he's definitley gonna live now.

i also don't like Rick's Jerry Springer monologue at the end.  I'm getting the idea that Rick is that friend we all have that is just a drama queen about everything.

All in all, I think this issue was fantastic...

Only realy weak point was the art.  I hate to say it, but something was weird about it.

ever since the early issue 70s, it seems like Adlard is not putting the detail he did earlier on in the book.

Still a great issue, kirkmans writing is great, and I'm going to enjoy what happens next: Because with a writer like Kirkman, for all we know half the cast could die in the next issue.

NINA'S SHORT REVIEW (possible spoilers).

I thought it was amazing that at the beginning, Rick drops off CARL to the doctor (can't remmeber her name) and then 180's it back outside to start choppin' up some zombies.  He's goin' at it with brute determination to save his son, then MICHONNE suddenly appears (amazing enterance) and goes to town on more zombies.  As they start getting a little worn, suddenly dude with the hulk hogan mustache (sorry for not havin' all the guys' names memoried) and his buds come out and start fighting back.  I REALLY like how they spent 90% of this issue in deep, intense combat with zombies.  They start "thinning them out" as they say.  They all start getting tired and exhausted, but they really start taking notice they have been really thinning out the zombies.  There are a couple REALLY good pictures showing the survivers standing on a heap of the dead.  It brings me back to that picture at the beginning of this "no way out" series where they're all at the front door and there is a 'sea' of zombies coming out of everywhere.  And now, they're all dead (well, you know what I mean).  Then Andrea and her crew appear from the outside of the broken fense and we really start to see a light at the end of the tunnel as Rick suddenly has a two page blurt of what he calls "hope''.  He gets really excited about their victory and realizes they don't have to be afraid of the zombies, they don't have to hide from them, they CAN fight back and CAN make proper defense; baracades and super strong fenses and feel safe again.  This issue ends with Rick at Carl's bedside encouraging him to pull through so he can show Carl this new world they can build together.

I know I keep saying, "this is the best issue I've seen yet".  But that's the beauty of this comic.  Maybe it's that we wait a full month to see what happens next...maybe we've been waiting for MONTHS to see how they'd get out of this mess, FINALLY the balance/scales are turning and we're starting to feel strong confidence that things are starting to look up!  BUT, withthe next two suggested issue covers

#85

While I'm not sold on the idea of Carl's death just yet...this cover is pretty covincing to suggest it.

and 86

I think this cover may suggest MICHONNE mourning the death of Rick's friend (I can't remember his name), the dude who's son was a zombie...Michonne killed him while he was in the bed.

I don't have much speculation about what this one means (or issue 87+)

Sick issue. Def went the opposite direction I thought this arc would, but Kirkman rocked it out. Would banter more, but PS3 typing is beat. Back to lurking until PC can be bought.

When Rick was talking about building an army, rebuilding the holdout and training people, I thought of the governor, maybe Rick will go mad with power and become the new Governor lol.

Nah. I don't think Rick would do that.  He could never turn into a completely corrupt leader...

I do want to point out, though, WHERE IS EVERYONE ELSE IN THE TOWN? Like the nice women walking her dog, and everyone at that party in issue 72.  Very Confusing.....
