Even though a zombie apocalypse is only in our dreams and on tv and video games and movies and comics and novels....unfortunately, is no true evidence to suggest it would ever actually happen. *insert sad face here

HOWEVER...in an actual zombie apocalypse...would you survive, would you fall (meaning, even if you tried to survive...you wouldn't have what it takes and you'd fairly quickly become a zombie) or would you kill yourself? (I know that sounds a lil morbid).

Personally, I'd like to think I'd survive!  And if I did some how fall, I certainly wouldn't go easily!

to give a lil perspective:

I was once at my family cottage and we had a slight problem with some small animals.  We used mouse traps at night to catch anything.  Some mornings, we woke up and there were dead mice etc.  One such day, we had a trap near the back door and a squirrel get caught in a mouse trap.  It didn't kill it....but it REALLY wounded it's head.

WARNING GRAPHIC DESCRIPTIONS

I used work gloves to get the squirrel out of the mouse trap and bring it to the back yard.  It was flintching and wobbling around like crazy.  When I put it on the ground thinking, "leave it here and it'll die".  But me being me (horror movie fenatic), I found a particular strange interest in watching it die.  Now, maybe it's 'cause I'm a girl, or maybe it's just being "humane", but after about 10 seconds of watching this thing literally caughing up blood out of it's nose and eyes and such, I felt mega sorry for it.  Mind you, it was pooping all over the place and getting into our cupboards etc, so it "had" to go.  I found myself unable to give it this slow death, so I grabbed a shovel and had a harder time deciding, give it a "quick" death and hit it with the pointy end ("cutting it in half") or the back end ("Flattening it like a pancake").  In the end, I used the side/edge of it...but I had to decide what part of the animal to hit to kill it.  I considered the head to do it quick...but it's the size of a golf ball.  Or the body (but would that kill it or just wound it more? for a more painful death?).  In any event, I did end up having to kill it...but it honestly wasn't easy.

My point is, if I had a hard time killing a squirrel, which was already half dead and slowly dying...how could I kill a "person"?  I know we're talking about zombies here...and it's different when they're attacking you etc. BUT, think about it really...could you kill someone?  Even if they were a zombie?  Could you hit them repetatively and watch them slowly lose consciousness and stop moving and DIE?

I guarantee it's not quite as easy as you'd think.

I would survive a zombie out break as I have extensive experience with zombies.  I work in retail with the general public, I ask you what could give me better training for a violent, brainless, horde of consuming zombies?  Nothing that's what

As a Hero I used to fight on the side for good. I learned it's boring. Being a villainous hero is much more fun!

I like to think I would be fine.. I would have no problem killing a zombie I am sure of it.. I would survive, I would conquer, and I would rule with a IRON fist over what was left for me and I would call myself the MAYOR!

I've decided I've got a two week rule. I think I'd quite happily survive for the first 48/72 hours then the next week and a half would be a doddle. After that though, if the situation wasn't improving or getting worse/hopeless It would be time to dispatch myself.

It's not that i doubt I "could" survive, I just reckon "surviving" would be boring after a while, a chore, and ordeal with no end. I'm quite the extravagant decadent fellow so I just don' t think I'd enjoy the surviving lark to bother past two weeks.

I'd definitely go with a bang though...

There is some hilarious commentson here. Good stuff guys. Nina the squirrel story was pretty funny. I think I could handle killing Zombies. Im not sure about family members and friends. Id leave that to someone else. I would think. Well, I think it would be okay to be honest. Once you got over the initial rash of Zombies thanks to decay and so on I think a Zombie infestation would max out after about ohhh some 5 or so years. Surviving that would be tough depending on where you are. After that you'd be pretty much sorted. Some place high/with an alternative exit and with a walled/fenced with Fresh water if snow/winter go out and cull as many as you can. To be honest I think if there ever was a Zombie outbreak I can't see them getting out of Vegas in all reality. It would have to be on a mass scale.

They aren't called walkers because of their ability to walk..Well it is kind of. But they can run too.Its mostly about the fact that they are dead but moving. Its like the saying "dead man walking"

yes, i was refering to the dif. genres of "living dead" some have slow "walking" types (would be extreamly easy to survive) others have crazy "runner" types (which in most cases will destroy you)... *also, "dead man walking" refers to someone (alive) who is targeted to soon be dead. ie; death row inmate.

I know what the saying means but in the old dawn of the dead they use the reference of the saying.
