Discussion: Re-Walking: THE WALKING DEAD #8 (SPOILERS!)

For those of you that have the trades & hardcovers and don't know where

#8 starts and where it ends. It begins with a panel of Rick saying, "Pregnant? How long?"

The issue ends with the snow melting off a sign that says, ALL DEAD DO NOT ENTER.

NOTE:
Please keep the thread only about the subject of the issue. Talk about

writing, art, what you liked, what you didn't like. Re-Reading is a great way

to pass the time between issues.

Thanks!  :)

I loved this issue, the idea of them trying to live in a fenced-in neighborhood seemed like a great idea. I thought they would be truly safe (at least for a bit) but once I saw that sign, it was one of those moments where I was truly scared for them. Great issue.

The best ending of an issue ever! Scared the sh*t out of me. Couldn't wait for issue 9 to come faster.

Yeah 9 was a good issue also. I love when Dale busted in with the rv to save Rick and Tyress on the roof.. The good old days when Dale was still cool.

I was so happy to see that they might have a nice home to sleep in instead of Dale's stinky RV

Best ending to an issue. It'd be in the top 10 of best issue endings or the series so far

If they did a film or show based on the book, they would have to put the estates in.

The snow melting off the sign was a big Oh Shit! Moment for me!

Starve your fear, feed your life. You'll find that you might be completely different all together.

And then you'll decide which one you like better.

Yeah that would be interesting to see, although it'd be best as a series. Otherwise in a film, the Estates scene could be shortened to where they walk in and, Donna gets attacked and they walk right back out.

That's why I believe The Walking Dead works only as a comic. Making a movie or T.V show would dilute the original intention of a zombie film that NEVR ends. Plus they would never do it in B&W. That's one of my top 5 things I love about the book.
